Why Everyone Should Celebrate on August 12th With Us!

Fifteen Years Ago today, August 12th, 1989, Wade and I got married.

I've been excited about this coming day for a long time!  I mean, really, how many people get to say they've been married this long - let alone LOVE it!

I'm the luckiest woman in the whole world and I feel like celebrating.

The day I walked down the aisle with my '80's "big hair" and my Cinderella wedding dress was the best day of my life.

Actually, it was so good, that Wade and I are going to go on a cruise in January where we will renew our vows.  I've always dreamed of that, and he gives me anything that I want.  I'm so spoiled!

He's the most generous, loving, giving person I have ever known.  And I'm truly blessed that I get to share my life with him.

And I wanted to take the opportunity to share it with you.

So, while you're reading this, just picture me jumping up and down like a little kid and you'll know how I feel inside.  We've been married 15 years and EVERY year is better!

I can hardly wait for our 20th, 25th, 30th.....

We're definitely going to grow into a couple of old geysers that still embarrass their thirty-year-old children with hand-holding and kissing in the mall.

If I had it to do all over again, I'd do it in a heartbeat - I tell Wade he'd have a hard time keeping me from marrying him before we graduated from high school!  I'd be proposing to him everyday - just to have more years together.

Which reminds me.  You know, some of my favorite movies are those where people go back in time and have a chance to change their past.

Some of the ones I can think of right now are "Peggy Sue Got Married" and "Back to the Future III".  Actually, I loved all the Back to the Future movies.

But, anyway, another favorite is that one with Bill Murray.  I can't think of the name....Oh, I know - "Mr. Destiny".

So, I don't need to be Bill Murray and see how my life would be married to someone else.  I've never had a desire for that in any way.  Like I said, I'd be the one proposing - when we met on the school bus in 8th grade!

So, anyway, that's why we celebrate August 12th.

And we want you to celebrate too and enjoy you're loved one.

So, today, if you're having an everyday, ordinary day - if there really is such a thing - don't forget to hug each and every one of them!!!!

And while you're doing that, think of us, because we'll be thinking of you.

We took the day off; and the kids and I are going to cook something, and when we do that, we talk about making the cookbook, and that makes us think about all of you.

So, have a great day, enjoy your time with your family!!

And- if you don't have your cookbook yet, what are you waiting for?  Celebrate with us today!  Get yours NOW.
